Obituary for Marilyn Baxter (Bain)

Marilyn Baxter (Bain)
Peacefully, at her home in Tillsonburg on Friday, July 21, 2017, Marilyn (Bain) Baxter passed away at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Bud for 60 years. Loving and caring mother of Mike Baxter (Linda Lovegrove) of Kitchener and Teresa Baxter (Pat Chester) of Richmond Hill. Dear sister of Julia Buchan (the Late Martin) of Tillsonburg. Marilyn is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and 3 sisters-in-law. Predeceased by her parents Basil and Jessie (Dickinson) Bain and 3 brothers William, James and Douglas Bain. Thanks to the care of Bud, Mike, Teresa, Julia and Care Parteners, Marilyn was able to stay where she wanted to be and lost her battle with cancer at home. The world has lost a generous, loving and peaceful woman. Marilyn was the maker of pies, she loved the Blue Jays and Maple Leafs, birds, dogs, cats, her gardens, sewing and, most of all, her home and family. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Marilyn at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service for Marilyn will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Christina Crawford officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the London Regional Cancer Clinic, VON Sakura House or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the Baxter family.
